STUDIO LEGAL advises FoodLabs as lead investor on its investment in PoLoPo
STUDIO LEGAL advised FoodLabs as lead investor in PoLoPo's Pre-Seed Round of approximately US$ 1.75 million. PoLoPo operates in the field of molecular farming and was founded by Dr. Maya Sapir-Mir and Dr. Raya Liberman-Aloni. PoLoPo is specialized in synthesizing animal proteins from potatoes, an innovative production method that offers a significantly lower carbon footprint than conventional animal agriculture.
PoLoPo plans to use the capital from its pre-seed round to grow its team of scientists and accelerate its research and development efforts to bring prototypes to market in the coming years.
Other investors in PoLoPo included CPT Capital, Siddhi Capital, Plug and Play Tech Center, Mil & Honey Ventures and HackCapital.
FoodLabs was advised by André Eggert, Paola Leiva and Inez Nuding (all Venture Capital).
