STUDIO LEGAL advises Formo Bio GmbH on EUR 35 million debt financing from the European Investment Bank
STUDIO LEGAL has advised Formo Bio GmbH on its financing of up to EUR 35 million through a venture debt facility by the European Investment Bank (EIB). The financing follows Formo's Series B in September 2024, in which the company raised USD 61 million in additional equity. Formo is the world's first manufacturer to bring animal-free cheese alternatives made with proteins from the Koji fungus to the market. The EIB financing will be used in particular to develop new products through Formo's precision fermentation platform and to expand the production of Koji protein cheese.
Studio Legal has been advising Formo since since the company was founded in 2019.
Formo was advised by Sohrab Beheshtipour and Julian Rindler (both Venture Capital).
