STUDIO LEGAL advises Infinite Roots (formerly Mushlabs) on Series B financing round

Studio Legal advised Infinite Roots on USD 58 million Series B financing round. Infinite Roots (formerly Mushlabs) develops mycelium-based food products as versatile key ingredients for planet-friendly meals.

The round was co-led by new investors Dr. Hans Riegel Foundation, one of the holding companies of internationally successful confectionery group Haribo and the European Innovation Council (EIC Fund). REWE Ventures, the investment arm of Germany's second-largest food retailer and Thai-based Betagro Ventures also joined the round. Existing investors including Atlantic FoodLabs, Redalpine, VVNP (Now: Clay Capital) and Simon Capital also participated in the round.
Securing an investment round of such scale from industry giants amidst a harsh fundraising environment, is not only a testimony to the strength of Infinite Roots' technology and expertise, but also a massive win for innovation in the entire food industry. With this new funding, the company moves into a new era of commercial growth, planning to expand its production capacities and invest in launch activities worldwide.

Infinite Roots was founded in 2018 as Mushlabs. Studio Legal has advised the company since its formation.

Infinite Roots was advised by Sohrab Beheshtipour, Julian Rindler, Cristina Varela (all Venture Capital) and Alexander Stolz (IP).
